Spectinomycin is primarily a bacteriostatic antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. Spectinomycin has activity against a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Enterobacter, Salmonella, Streptococci, Staphylococcus, and Mycoplasma. It has minimal activity against anaerobes, most strains of Pseudomonas, Chlamydia, or Treponema.

Indications
Spectomycin is very effective antibiotic it used for prevention and treatment of chronic respiratory diseases (CRD), Complicated (CRD) and Escherichia Coli infection in poultry and for gastroenteritis for pet animals.
Dosage
Administrated by oral route directly.
Gives orally for 3-5 days.
Birds: 1ml/5kg of body weight / day.
Dogs and cats and rabbits: 1 ml /5-10 kg of bw.
Storage
Store in a clean, dry, cool place (< 25 ˚C) and keep away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children.
