Treatment Dose:
Poultry and Turkey: 100 g / 200 liters of drinking water for 4-5 days.
Preventive Dose: Half the treatment dose.
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic. It impedes protein synthesis in the microorganism cell by an effect on translocation; binding to the 50S subunit of ribosome. Leads to functional disturbances with blockage of certain stages in the protein synthesis resulting in the death of bacteria. The drug may be bactericidal or bacteriostatic, the effect depending on its concentration and on the type of the microorganism, which is bacteriostatic at normal dose and bactericidal at high dose. Tylosin is a drug of choice as an alternative to penicillin in infections with Streptococci, corynebacterias, mycoplasmas, Chlamydia and legionella, especially in infections of respiratory tract.
Each ml contains:
Equivalent to Tylosin Tartrate —> 1000 mg
For prevention and treatment of CRD, Sinusitis caused by M.gallisepticum and M.synoviae in poultry. For prevention and treatment of pneumonia associated with Mycoplasma spp. P.multocida and Chlamydia spp. sensitive to Tylosin. For treatment of infectious diseases caused by gram (+) bacteria such as: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Clostridium spp. and Corynebacterium pyogenes.
For treatment of infectious diseases caused by gram (-) bacteria such as Pasteurella spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica and Fusobacterium necrophorum.
